Brazil - Keith and Vron Stevens

Veronica aka 'Vron' works with Home-Start UK, the UK's leading family support organisation. Keith is a retired Human Resources specialist with LloydsTSB having spent almost 39 years in UK and International Banking. His time with the Bank of London & South America many years ago gave him and his wife, Vron, a love for Brazil and its people. The opportunity to join a Mission Direct team to Brazil in 2007 fulfilled a dream to return again and to make a difference in alleviating poverty. As Staff Team leaders they have led teams each year since then and feel very blessed because of being where they believe God wants them to be.

Keith is a Trustee and volunteer of Watford New Hope Trust, serving the homeless and disadvantaged in Watford. He and Vron are members of St Luke’s Church, Bricket Wood. They have four grown up sons and seven grandchildren.

claire h

Dominican Republic - Claire Hodgson

I first came to the Dominican Republic on a team in July '09, had an amazing time and felt God calling me to come back to work on the staff team. I spent most of 2010 working in the DR as MD's staff team leading teams and really enjoyed meeting so many people and serving God with them. I'm looking forward to meeting the 2011 teams and seeing what God has in store for us all! Important personal facts : I am 27, I live in Bristol, I like to laugh and love spending time getting to know people.

All About Mission Direct

Mission Direct gives ordinary people the chance to do extraordinary things around the world. In two weeks you will change the lives of some of the world’s poorest people. You can help to build a house, classroom or clinic. We discover people and groups doing remarkable things in their own countries. Then we provide them the people and resources that they need. We do this by enabling people like you, with two or more weeks to join our life-altering trips.
