Emergency appeal tops £10,000
Thank you for your generous response to our recent appeal for financial support. The appeal was sent out after a major financial supporter was hit by the recession causing a shortfall of £6,000 every month.
In just over one month a total of £10,181 has been received along with standing orders totalling £160 per month.
“This is great news, and a reminder of how loyal our supporters are” said Mission Direct’s Chief Executive Nigel Hyde. “Most of the people who gave to the appeal have already travelled overseas with us and have seen for themselves what we can achieve in these countries with even a small amount of money. We really appreciate the sacrifices that people make to offer these generous donations, and we promise to put every penny that we receive to the best possible use.”
