Ever harboured a secret ambition to build a hotel in Mburu National Park? Or perhaps you are planning a hostile takeover of Uganda Telecom (in conjunction with Warid Telecom). You can realise these ambitions and much more with the brand new Mission Direct board game (Uganda Rukungiri Edition)
The game was the brainchild of 12 year-old Sam Heaton who joined his family on a Mission Direct trip to Rukungiri this summer. Along with a host of stops that will be familiar to anyone that has joined them in recent years (Modern Primary School, Chilli Pickers, White Lodge…) you can buy your property and pay your rent in special Mission Money - check online for latest exchange rates. There is even a set of Mission Cards with appropriate bonuses and forfeits.
Sound familiar? No, us neither. But it all sounds rather fun. And it has been beautifully realised by Sam who clearly has a promising future in graphic design if he wishes, that is if winning second prize in a beauty contest does not go to his head first…
NB - Sadly Mission Direct - the Board Game is not available for sale in the shops. Or anywhere...
Mission Direct gives ordinary people the chance to do extraordinary things around the world. In two weeks you will change the lives of some of the world’s poorest people. You can help to build a house, classroom or clinic. We discover people and groups doing remarkable things in their own countries. Then we provide them the people and resources that they need. We do this by enabling people like you, with two or more weeks to join our life-altering trips.
