About Re-wired

Rewired is a group of IT professionals based in Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk. We currently operate as a part of Mission Direct. However we remain fairly autonomous and our work focuses mainly on IT related projects.

 Our goal is to provide the same kinds of classroom facilities to children in Africa as our own children have in the UK. To this end we provide schools with donated equipment, which we then install ourselves. Our vision is to see the children of Africa become at ease in an increasingly technology-driven age.

 Many of our projects so far have been in Sierra Leone, but we are now broadening our horizons. As well as the project you will be joining in Uganda we are also working in the Democratic Republic of Congo.

 We do not see our only role as providers and installers of IT equipment. Once we make a commitment to an organisation we continue to support them on an ongoing basis, helping them maintain their equipment and develop teaching methods.
