Overseas Vacancies

As a member of one of our staff teams you play an indispensible role – without sufficient staff in each country we would be unable to run the volunteer trips.

Each team is typically led by 3 - 6 self-funding volunteers who live there for the duration of each campaign.  We are looking for mature Christians who will take overall charge of the teams as a country manager, and others who can support them in this work.

Before going, we provide appropriate training ensuring you are equipped for the job.  No previous experience is necessary, though where possible, we encourage people to do a 2 week trip with us first.

Some skills are particularly helpful for these posts, including building, project management, the ability to keep on top of the logistics of major tasks, to keep finances on a spreadsheet or simply the ability to love and care for both our 2 week volunteers and the people they have come to serve.

We hold Staff Information Training days twice a year. These days will give you an excellent overview of what is involved working with Mission Direct overseas. Please contact us if you would like a place on our next training day on 21st January 2012.

Value Added Mission One reason Mission Direct-supported projects are so cost effective is that our team leaders raise the funding to cover their own costs.  This means that we are able to keep trip contributions to a minimum, allowing further money raised to go directly to the in-country project itself.
