Have you got time to make a difference?

Mission Direct relies on the help of volunteers in the UK to assist us in a number of crucial tasks. As little as one day a week helping can make a huge difference. And with today’s technology it is often possible to work from home, fitting in the work around your other commitments.

If you have time available please ring Jackie Johnston, our Senior Volunteer Manager, on 01582 720056.  If you have computer or other specific skills, be sure to tell us about them.

Here are some of the ways that you could be a real help to Mission Direct.

• PA to the Chief Executive – If you are an experienced PA and could commit to a day or two a week, Mission Direct’s Chief Executive Nigel Hyde would like to hear from you.
• Speaker Network - We want to encourage people to speak about our work in Churches, Rotary clubs and other groups wherever you are in the country. You can help us to get the good news about the work of Mission Direct spread as widely as possible.  If you would be willing to do that please get in touch with Ben Cohen on 01582 720056.
• Corporate Fundraising - If you have a business background and would like to encourage corporations in your area to support Mission Direct we need your help and can provide you with the materials to do this.
• Research - There are a number of trusts who may be prepared give money to our cause.  Will you help us find out who they are?  This work can be extended to helping us write applications.
• Data Entry – We use a windows based database which is easy to operate. With a bit of instruction you could help to keep our donor and volunteer records up to date.
• Communicating – There are many places where it is possible to promote Mission Direct, for instance placing  literature in Conference centres and guest houses.
• Prayer Co-ordinator – Are you a man or woman of prayer? We need someone to be office-based who can help develop our desire to engage people in praying for our work.
• Sorting Aid – We receive plenty of practical help in the form of educational, medical and pharmaceutical supplies.  This material needs sorting and packing.
